The Department of the History of Art at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the position of Austen-Stokes Assistant Professor in the Art of the Ancient Americas, to begin July 1, 2025. The appointment will be at the assistant professor level. We welcome applications from scholars specializing in the art, architecture, and/or material culture of pre-colonial North, Central, and/or South America, including the Caribbean.
