The Hall Graduate Curatorial Fellowship provides a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the museum profession and to contribute meaningfully to the work of the Walters Art Museum, one of the finest art museums in the nation.
In 2024-25, one Graduate Curatorial Fellowship will be awarded. Applicants must be graduate students in good standing, enrolled full-time at Johns Hopkins University. Students must have some background in the History of Art and other areas related as appropriate. Students due to complete their PhDs prior to taking up the fellowship are not eligible to apply.
Hall Curatorial fellows are employed 10 hours per week at the Walters for 9 months, and receive a stipend of $20 an hour. Fellows will work on a designated curatorial project.

- a single PDF that includes a letter describing your particular interests and relevant experience, along with your resume or curriculum vitae and an unofficial academic transcript.
- a letter of recommendation from a professor in PDF form (must be signed, on letterhead, and sent directly from the professor’s email account).
Application Review: The History of Art Department will make a preliminary review of applications. A list of candidates will be forwarded to the Walters. Interviews will be conducted as part of the process of making a final selection.
