The Department of the History of Art is thrilled to announce the below achievements from December 2021 and January 2022 and extends congratulations to all:

• Two department alumni, Hannah Friedman and Chrisopher Nygren, have both won the major prizes of the Renaissance Society of America for 2021-22. Hannah won the Nelson Prize for the best article published in Renaissance Quarterly in 2021; Chris won the Phyllis Gordon Prize for the best book in Renaissance Studies, for Titian’s Icons: Tradition, Charisma, and Devotion in Renaissance Italy.
