The Department of the History of Art is thrilled to announce the below achievements and extend congratulations to all:
- Franco Rossi, the 2020-2022 Austen-Stokes Postdoctoral Fellow, co-edited, The Adorned Body: Mapping Ancient Maya Dress, which recently came out from the University of Texas Press.
- Prof. Ünver Rüstem contributed to the University of Michigan’s Khamseen: Islamic Art History Online. Prof. Rüstem’s presentation is The Nuruosmaniye Mosque and the Ottoman Baroque.
- Meghaa Ballakrishnen, a doctoral student in the Department, has been named the 2020-2021 Asher Family Fellow by the American Institute of Indian Studies.
- She also presented, “GRIDS GRIDS GRIDS: Nasreen Mohamedi and Feminist Art Criticism” as the Women and Gender Studies 2020 Junior Research Fellow on October 14, 2020.
