Illuminated medieval manuscript page featuring a repeating pattern of circular medallions containing winged animals, possibly symbolic creatures, on a red and blue background. The top portion includes Latin text in gold script, with ornate decorative elements and Christian iconography.

Nino Zchomelidse, Professor in the Department of the History of Art at Johns Hopkins University, will give a lecture on aesthetics of illusion and authenticity in Ottonian legal documents at the University of Copenhagen, where she is currently a Novo Nordisk Foundation Visiting Scholar in Art and Art History, SAXO-Institute.
